EMAIL MARKETING. Done right, email marketing can be the cornerstone of a quality external communications infrastructure. And as luck would have it, I’M LIKE SUPER GOOD AT IT. Here’s one example of my work. Here’s another. Here’s one more pretty good one.

CLASSES. I’ve taught introductory composition to hundreds of first-year students at both Juniata College and Boston University. At JC, I also taught journalism, multimedia production, and media literacy.

ARTICLES. Click here for a sampling of the magazine articles I’ve written.

INTERVIEWS. Click here to listen to recordings of the fairly important people I’ve interviewed.

THE VETERANS WRITING PROJECT. The Veterans Writing Project provides military vets with working television and film writers, giving the vets an opportunity to develop their skills under the tutelage of the masters. From its inception, I developed and manages the entire program, from recruiting mentors and overseeing the admissions process to publicity and marketing.

GENRE SMASH! I created, produced and hosted GENRE SMASH!, a monthly event series, held at the NerdMelt Showroom in West Hollywood, that highlighted the writers and creators of some of pop culture’s most enduring movies, television shows and characters. It was pretty much exactly like Comic Con, except it wasn’t in San Diego and it wasn’t a worldwide press spectacle and there wasn’t any food or cocktails. Or parties.

PANELS. I’ve organized, populated and moderated discussion panels (generally with professional writers as panelists) for ScareLA, Stephens College, The Austin Film Festival, Aspen Shortsfest, The Newport Beach Film Festival, and the Writers Guild Foundation.
